Memelord has acquired Jester, an AI bot meant to crack jokes in group chats. The announcement came on October 14, 2026, in a post on X from Jason Levin's account.

What Memelord says

The post says Memelord is "building the scientifically funniest AI agent." It says Jester has "broken containment" and is spreading to group chats around the world. It says you can try Jester for free at jester.ai.

Jester's own website says little more. It calls Jester "the funny AI agent" and has a button to open it.

What we don't know

The announcement does not give a price for the deal, how many people use Jester, or which chat apps it works in. We could not confirm those details, so they are not in this story. Whether Jester is actually funny is up to you.

What you can try

Go to jester.ai, add Jester to a group chat with friends who won't mind, and see if it gets a laugh.
