Kling 4.0 makes 30-second AI videos and is out worldwide

Kling AI says its new video model is available now on its website, with steadier camera moves and up to 15 reference files. HDR and API access are coming later.

Kling AI launched Kling 4.0, its newest AI video model, around the world on October 16, 2026. The company announced it in a press release from Beijing. Kling AI says the model is fully available now on the Kling AI website.

What is new

Kling AI says Kling 4.0 can make a 30-second clip in one go. Before, short AI clips usually had to be stitched together. The company says you can also upload a video and extend it to two minutes.

Kling AI says camera moves like push-ins, pans and orbit shots look steadier. It says you can give the model up to 15 reference files, including pictures, video and audio, and up to 10 keyframes. The goal is to keep the same character looking the same from shot to shot.

The company also says prompts can now be much longer, up to 8,000 tokens, and that the model handles more languages and accents, including English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Hindi and others.

What is coming, not here yet

Kling AI says Kling 4.0 will soon support 10-bit HDR in 4K and 1080p, plus a 21:9 widescreen format. It says business customers and developers will get API access soon. Adobe says Kling 4.0 is coming to its Firefly app. None of these have a date.

Who is using it

The release quotes Korean director Kim Sung-soo, who made a short film called Worm Train with a preview version of the model, and the makers of an animated film called Minibots. Kling AI says it has more than 100 million users. That is the company's number.

What you can try

Go to the Kling AI website and write a short scene with one character and one camera move. Then add a reference photo and see whether the character stays the same.
