Grok Imagine users are making songs for their videos, without an official announcement

Creators have been showing a Music panel in Grok Imagine that writes a song from a prompt and puts it under your video. xAI has not announced it.

Grok Imagine, xAI's tool for making AI images and videos, appears to have a new way to add music to your clips. This story is based on what users have shown on X and on reporting by ArtRealmAI. xAI has not announced the feature.

What users have shown

Starting October 13, 2026, several creators posted screen recordings of a Music panel inside Grok Imagine on the web. ArtRealmAI says it is sometimes labeled Original Audio.

In these demos, you open a video you made and describe the music you want. You can give a genre, mood, instruments and tempo. Grok writes lyrics and makes a full track.

Users then pick a section of the song on a timeline and apply it to the video. ArtRealmAI says tracks are saved to a library so you can reuse them. One creator also showed Grok turning their own lyrics into a song.

What we don't know

We found no post about the feature on x.ai/news or from the official @imagine account as of October 25. ArtRealmAI says there is no public music API or model details.

The rollout looks gradual, so some people don't see the Music option yet. ArtRealmAI says early demos describe the sound as "Suno-like," a comparison to a popular AI music app.

One creator claimed the feature runs on Google's Lyria 3 music model. ArtRealmAI says that is unconfirmed, and xAI has not said what powers it.

Why people are talking about it

Until now, many Grok Imagine creators made the video in Grok and the music somewhere else, like Suno. Then they joined the two in an editor. Users say the Music panel lets them do both in one place.
