Samsung's Galaxy AI now translates calls in 24 languages

Samsung is adding Hungarian and Malay to Live Translate and its other translation tools, and three new languages to Bixby.

Samsung said on October 14, 2026, that it is bringing its Galaxy AI features to more languages. The announcement came on the Samsung Newsroom.

Translation in 24 languages

Samsung says the tools that translate, transcribe and summarize now include Hungarian and Malay. That includes Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist. Samsung says this brings Live Translate, which translates phone calls as you talk, to 24 languages.

Samsung's list includes Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese and more. Samsung notes that different versions of English, Spanish and other languages count as one language each.

Now Nudge, which suggests a next step based on what is on your screen, adds eight languages, Samsung says. That also brings it to 24.

Bixby learns three more

Samsung calls Bixby a device agent. You tell it what you want in your own words, and it changes the setting for you. Samsung says Bixby adds Polish, Thai and Vietnamese, for 12 languages in all.

When

Samsung says the new Bixby languages started rolling out on October 14. It says the new Galaxy AI languages follow in the coming weeks, and schedules vary by device and country.

What you can try

On a Galaxy phone with Galaxy AI, open Settings and look for new language packs. Samsung says some can be downloaded there. Then try Live Translate on a call with someone who speaks another language.
