ElevenLabs will score your video and add sound effects for you

ElevenLabs says Instant Soundtracks writes original music for an uploaded video and drops sound effects at the right moments.

On October 15, 2026, ElevenLabs launched Instant Soundtracks. Renee Zhang, who works in product marketing at the company, wrote the announcement. You upload a video to ElevenCreative, the company's creative app, and the AI adds a soundtrack and sound effects.

What it does

ElevenLabs says the model writes original music for the video. It then watches the footage for moments that need a sound and places effects at those exact spots. The company's example is a whoosh timed to a logo at the end of an ad.

ElevenLabs says the music can change mood between scenes, from something fast for an action shot to acoustic guitar for a quiet one. It says timing is tighter for short videos, around cuts and on-screen action. You can also have it use your video's existing audio as a guide for style and tempo.

You can still edit

ElevenLabs says the effects show up as separate layers in its Music Video Editor. You can move them, add more, swap the music or fix one moment without starting over, then export.

What you can try

ElevenLabs says it is available now in ElevenCreative's music tab, in Creative Engine for ads, on the ElevenMusic platform and through its API. Upload a short clip, like a phone video from a trip, and see what it adds. The post does not say which plans include it or what it costs.
