Gemini can now plan your day from your saved Google Maps places and your calendar
Google says that, with your permission, Gemini can now look at your Google Maps searches and saved places alongside Google Calendar to suggest where to go.

On October 22, 2026, Google's Gemini app announced a new trick for Personal Intelligence. With your permission, Gemini can now look at your Google Maps searches and saved places. It can use them together with your Google Calendar to give you suggestions for your day.
What it can do
Personal Intelligence is the Gemini setting that lets it use your own Google apps to tailor its answers. 9to5Google reports that Gemini could already reach Maps through its Search services connection. The change is that it can now see your own Maps searches and the places you've saved.
9to5Google describes the example Google is using. You tell Gemini you have a list of restaurants you've been meaning to try, and ask which one is best for after your meetings today. Gemini checks where your last meeting is and uses that to pick a spot from your list.
How to turn it on
Google says it only works with your permission. 9to5Google says you can turn Personal Intelligence on from gemini.google.com/personalization-settings.
Google has not said in this announcement which countries get the feature or when it reaches everyone.
